Position Overview

The individual in this role will report directly to the Supervisor of Sterilization and will be tasked with overseeing the sterilization area along with all instruments requiring reprocessing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, package, and sterilize dental instruments and materials while operating sterilization equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collect contaminated instruments and ensure the timely delivery of sanitized instruments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sterilization area in compliance with institutional policies.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Strict adherence to safety, sterilization, handling, and technical regulations is mandatory.
  • Execute other related tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of two years of college or a secretarial program, along with a minimum of one to two years of relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of a sterile processing training program and certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or possession of a NYS Dental Assistant certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
