Job Summary:



The Baker is a key member of the Shop N Save Bakery team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality products and exceptional customer service. As a Baker, you will work closely with the Bakery Manager and Assistant Bakery Manager to maintain the successful operation of the Bakery department.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and bake a variety of products, including cookies, cakes, pies, bread, and other items as needed.
  • Prepare frozen products for the oven and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance and perform preventative maintenance on all company equipment in the department.
  • Assist in finishing and filling donuts and other pastries, pies, and cakes as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support inter-departmental and store-wide sales promotions.
  • Assist workers in other departments as needed to support business requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on baking preparations and procedures to ensure high-quality products.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and protocols outlined by the company.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management to support the success of the Bakery department.

Requirements:



  • Knowledge of baking procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
