Retail Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Department Supervisor to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
- Promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary, and organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area, and ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, and partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to train others and have 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
