Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Hastings Independent School District 200.

About the Role:

This is a 0.5 FTE position at Pinecrest Elementary School, requiring a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to students with diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and assess students, develop integrated goals and outcomes, and provide specialized instruction as outlined in IEPs.
  • Educate parents and other stakeholders about the provision of services, utilizing a variety of materials and teaching techniques, including evidence-based practices.
  • Consult with parents, other service providers, and educational staff to ensure effective service delivery and collaborate on student progress.
  • Plan and conduct continuous evaluation of student progress, encourage and instruct parents and educational staff in appropriate methods to assist their child, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Prepare documentation and maintain records as required, including 3rd party billing documentation for eligible students.
Requirements:
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education.
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with a wide variety of communication needs, including due process procedures and strong computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing and family interview skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous related experience.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
