Critical Care Travel Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Travel Nurse to join our team at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cardiothoracic ICU and CVICU/CTICU nursing, with a proven track record of providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiothoracic ICU and CVICU/CTICU units.
- Manage arterial lines, blood products, central lines, and PICC lines, among other critical care skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in unit-specific initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- 2 years of experience in CVICU/CTICU nursing, with a preference for travel experience.
- EPIC proficiency is required, with no exceptions.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, with the American Heart Association as the governing body.
The successful candidate will work a 48-hour contract with OT available after 48 hours. The schedule will be 3x12 or 4x12, with days from 7a-7:30pm, weekdays, EOW, float, and holidays within the contract.
Unit InformationThe Cardiothoracic ICU and CVICU/CTICU units at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center are dedicated to providing exceptional care to post-operative CABG adult patients, acute coronary, NSTEMI, STEMI, and CHF patients. The units utilize a universal bed model, allowing ICU patients to be downgraded to stepdown and remain in the CTICU until discharge.
