Technical Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Technical Drafter to join our team at Consolidated Machine & Welding. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documents, including 2D drawings and 3D models, to engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical drawings and blueprints of component and assembly designs.
• Store and maintain electronic drawings, models, revisions, and meta-data in the engineering Product Data Management database.
• Translate information provided by engineers into technical drawings.
• Capture 1st article or fabricated prototype pieces into 3D and create drawings for full production.
• Acquire third-party supplier models and drawings for incorporation into assemblies and Bills-Of-Material.
• Draft Engineering Change Notifications and work with colleagues to release to production.
• Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems (SolidWorks) to produce technical drawings and blueprints.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year degree or certification in technical drafting.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of drafting systems and process.
• 3D design software proficiency.
• Strong ethical conduct and accountability.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work requirements.
• Detail-oriented and results-driven attitude.
