Position Overview

KCO Resource Management is seeking an experienced HR professional with a robust leadership background to oversee a human resources team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of HR functions including recruitment, collaboration with management, organizational development, policy enforcement, safety training, and employee relations.

Location: Southern Tier, NY

Relocation: Available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and implements policies governing all aspects of human resources operations.
  • Ensures compliance with legal standards and government reporting requirements affecting HR functions.
  • Manages the recruitment process, including interviewing, testing, and selecting candidates for open positions.
  • Facilitates new employee orientation to promote a positive alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Oversees the compensation structure; updates job descriptions as needed; evaluates the performance review process and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains an affirmative action strategy; files EEO-1 reports annually; keeps accurate records to comply with EEO regulations.
  • Coordinates training and educational initiatives for the facility, assisting departments in creating relevant curriculum and activities.
  • Provides employee relations support, including coaching and managing corrective actions.
  • Analyzes departmental reports, decisions, and outcomes in relation to set objectives.
  • Proposes innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Administration, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of comprehensive HR generalist experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing context is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of direct reports is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices in recruitment, organizational development, policy administration, training, and employee relations.
  • Strong business insight and acumen.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions aligned with organizational values.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State employment laws, investigative skills, and HR technical knowledge in EEO, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and workers' compensation.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong influencing and facilitation capabilities.
  • Experience in managing organizational change effectively.
  • Proven ability to excel in a collaborative team environment.
