About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer - Mechanical Systems to join our team at Globalstar. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for establishing standards for the integration of project deliverables into a production environment with a focus on mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish quality certifications and maintain required periodic audits to maintain certifications
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for a global organization
  • Assure companywide adherence to quality standards for internal teams and external vendors
  • Establish quality and reliability standards by studying project requirements with all stakeholders, conferring, and negotiating with suppliers, SMEs, and devising testing methods and procedures
  • Implement in-process inspection standards by studying design and manufacturing methods and devising testing methods and procedures
  • Establish rework standards
  • Enforce quality assurance policies and procedures through regular audits and corrective action reports
  • Ensure compliance with all project-related regulatory and government requirements
  • Prepare project quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to drive quality and cost improvements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in quality assurance (or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of quality system requirements with expert knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Standard
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements and legal standards
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software
  • Experience with Jira or similar ticketing system
  • Experience with Python a plus
