Job Summary

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers to produce precision parts.
• Read and understand technical drawings and prints to ensure accurate production.
• Prepare machines and submit parts for inspection to ensure quality standards.
• Inspect parts during production using precision measuring devices.
• Monitor tool wear and change tooling as needed to maintain optimal performance.
• Adjust tooling or machine offsets to maintain precise sizes and tolerances.
• Set up machines for various jobs using setup sheets and technical documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience as a CNC operator on horizontal and vertical machining centers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of basic machining principles and mechanical systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to read technical drawings and prints and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to calculate measurements and tolerances.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Mazak CNC machines and conversational programming.
• Certificate or diploma in machining or machining technology.
• Own tools and ability to maintain a professional toolset.
• Successful completion of an apprenticeship program in machining or a related field.
