About the Team

Our team enables customers to make informed decisions with confidence through multi-platform access to accurate data, real-time news, and detailed forecasts.

About the Role

We are seeking a Fundamentals analyst to cover global metallurgical coal and coke markets. The ideal candidate will maintain and refine monthly supply and demand balance sheets and price forecasts for metallurgical coal and related products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and continually refine monthly supply and demand balance sheets and price forecasts for metallurgical coal and related products.
  • Maintain and/or contribute to monthly and weekly metallurgical coal deliverables, as well as leading bespoke consulting engagements.
  • Be a thought leader in metallurgical coal markets, and an APAC leader in steel and steel raw materials more broadly.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in the steel or steel raw materials industries and/or markets.
  • Strong quantitative skills (strong MS Excel and VBA, knowledge of Python and PowerBI advantageous).
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to a high standard.
  • Ability to lead others.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a team while sometimes operating alone.
  • Bachelor's degree (in a quantitative discipline preferred).
