Your Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, and suction devices, to provide advanced medical care.">
  • Communicate with receiving facilities to receive medical direction and provide critical information.">
  • Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.">
  • Drive ambulances and provide map reading support to minimize call response time.">
  • Monitor and maintain the general condition of the unit, keeping it clean and stocked for optimal call response.">
  • Document activities related to patient care and billing completely to ensure accurate information is available for each call.">
  • Follow policies and procedures regarding out-of-chute times and turnaround times.">
  • Consider patient status and insurance preferences when determining transportation destinations.">
  • Report incidents involving negative customer and/or patient interactions immediately to the on-duty supervisor and/or account manager.">
  • Converse with dispatchers and EMS providers via phone or radio regarding patient status.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Prior work experience, preferably in healthcare.">
  • The ability to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and objects.">
  • A driving record compliant with AMR's Safety and Driving policy.">
  • The ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with extended workdays.">
  • The ability to work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather.">
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.">
