As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients who require attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring.
The HICU is a 20-bed unit that accepts patients 18 years of age or older. Our team approach to care ensures that patients receive individualized attention and support. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective patient care to patients in the HICU
- Assess patient status and develop individualized care plans
- Implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms and improve outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Document patient information and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification
- 2+ years of experience in the area of clinical expertise
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
