Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team at Broaster Company LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks using gas and electric welding equipment.

• Weld metal parts together using shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) techniques.
• Select and install gas orifice and threads consumable wire electrode through portable welding gun.
• Connect cables from welding unit to work piece and electrode holder, and strike arc to manually guide electrode tip along weld line.
• Weld with non-consumable tungsten electrode equipped with automatic filler wire feed, or apply filler rod by hand.
• Clean or degrease work pieces using wire brush, portable grinder, or chemical bath.
• Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, or make equipment weld repairs.
• Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal parts preparatory to welding, and align as required.
• Examine work pieces and measure dimensions for conformance to specifications using tape, rule, or square.

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must have good basic math skills.
• Must have technical education, training, or certification and prior experience welding.
• Able to understand blueprints and use basic measuring instruments.
• Able to read wiring schematics.
• General Education Diploma.

• Must be able to lift/carry 45 lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to bend, squat, reach, push, pull, climb, and walk.
