Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Designer to join our Energy Service Line team in Lexington, Kentucky.


This full-time role offers a competitive salary of $95,000-$110,000 per year based on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career advancement.


The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in CAD drafting or related work, with extensive knowledge of CAD software and a strong understanding of civil engineering design principles.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform CAD drafting of engineering designs and preparation of final engineering plans
  • Serve as the resident CAD expert for the team with the ability to provide training and guidance to employees and CAD users
  • Manage the production process to include research, and completing the technical design tasks to result in high-quality deliverables to internal and external clients
  • Assist in preparing construction documents for public and/or private public works infrastructure projects (i.e., street, highway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer improvements) from conceptual design to final design, under the direction and supervision of a professional engineer
  • Establish good communication and working relationships with team members and clients

Requirements:

  • A High school diploma/GED
  • A Associate's or technical degree, a plus
  • 10+ years' experience in CAD drafting or related work
  • Extensive knowledge of CAD software
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing), using the English language
  • Fundamental working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and Basic ArcGIS experience, a plus
