Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our interdisciplinary clinic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, individualized care to children with autism and their families.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about early intervention and integrated care approaches. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as experience working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement naturalistic occupational therapy programs for young children aged 2-6 years in a center-based environment.
  • Develop targeted interventions to enhance clients' gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding abilities, and performance in other daily activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical domains (ABA, speech therapy, psychology).
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guiding them in integrating OT goals into their therapy sessions and supporting their professional development.
  • Regularly monitor client progress, revising treatment plans and objectives as needed, and ensuring effective communication with team members and families.
  • Forge strong partnerships with families, setting collaborative goals, fostering meaningful relationships, communicating progress, and offering dedicated coaching and support throughout their journey.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field.
  • Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
