Primary Objective

The role is responsible for ensuring that specific areas of account management are processed efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures. This position entails overseeing and nurturing a team with specialized skills in the designated concentration area. The individual will manage daily and monthly accounting functions across all operations, focusing on maintaining the integrity of financial data to protect the company's assets.

Key Responsibilities

Directs the preparation of reports and analyses generated on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Offers guidance and support to the assigned team, facilitating training and development to enhance skills and commitment. Develops ad-hoc reports and analyses as required, and assists with audit activities. Monitors, enforces, and evaluates internal control systems. Manages the Month-End Close process and reporting, ensuring that experienced staff maintain accuracy and timeliness in processing. Supports Cost Accountants to guarantee the precision of reporting, optimizes processes, and fosters consistency across all company locations. Engages in monthly cost assessments and provides insights into significant variances. Formulates the annual budget for designated areas, supplying historical data and detailed insights to assist directors in crafting spending plans for the forthcoming fiscal year.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. 5 - 7 years of relevant experience. Experience in the poultry industry is preferred. Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
