We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Wellington Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and standards.
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead.
- Perform NIHSS and bedside swallow, assist with telemedicine consult and physician examination/evaluation of thrombolytic therapy inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Mix, administer, and monitor thrombolytic therapy if patient deemed a candidate.
- Prepare patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated.
- Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing the NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke-related training annually.
