About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Cook to join our talented culinary team in our brand-new, premier retirement community Mallard Landing by Cogir.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare fresh, nutritious, appealing, and delicious meals for our residents, team members, prospective residents, families, and guests.
  • Connect with and positively impact the lives of our residents daily.
  • Expedite and serve all meals in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Check and restock all foods for proper service.
  • Aid in all kitchen operations as needed.
Requirements
  • Positive team player attitude and love working with people.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary School is a plus, or a minimum of one year in professional kitchen surroundings.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife handling skills.
  • Ability to read and execute a recipe.
  • Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
  • Creative culinary and prep skills.
  • Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus.
