Church Steward

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Church Conservator to join our team at the Unity Society of Practical Christia. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our church facilities, ensuring a welcoming and respectful environment for our congregation and staff.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all public areas of the church, including bathrooms, sanctuary, kitchens, and meeting rooms.
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members and church staff to ensure that all areas are cleaned and stocked with necessary items.
• Respond promptly and professionally to requests for assistance.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and restocking bathrooms, and make minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with event preparations and clean up.
• Take inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests for replenishment as needed.
• Interact with church staff and visitors in a respectful and positive manner.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• High degree of professionalism and attention to detail.
• Understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a background check.
• Strong communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and able to be flexible to adjust their schedule to suit the needs of the church.
• Motivation to work independently or with others to provide thorough, efficient custodial services to the church.
