Culinary Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at GSS IA Ottumwa. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food to patients/residents, staff, and visitors while adhering to strict quality standards and safety guidelines.

• Prepare, assemble, and cook baked goods, season and portion food according to menu and dietary requirements.
• Maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve daily and weekly culinary goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Basic math skills and ability to measure ingredients accurately.

Estimated Salary: $16.00 - $22.50 per hour based on location and experience.
