Salary Information

The salary for this position is $40.00 per hour, with the potential for increased rates for experienced individuals, up to an additional $10 in float premium on all hours worked, and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Job Description

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) role is part of Geisinger's Critical Care Float Pool. As a Critical Care Float RN, you will provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient outcomes.

  • You will be responsible for completing assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
  • You will address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
  • You will formulate, coordinate, and provide plans of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • You will provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Graduate from Specialty Training Program
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
