We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team at LewisGale Medical Center. As an RN in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a culture of excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring timely interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical knowledge, technologies, and best practices, applying this expertise to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved agency.
- ACLS, PALS, or TNCC certification, depending on unit requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Two years of RN experience, preferably in an emergency room setting.
- Specialty certification from a national accrediting organization.
- Member of a national professional nursing organization.
- ENPC, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or other relevant certifications.
