Job Title: Labor and Employment Shareholder

Location: Birmingham, Alabama

Position Overview: Core Talent Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Labor and Employment Shareholder Attorney to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a talented attorney with a strong background in labor and employment law to take a leadership role within the firm, drive client relationships, and contribute to our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including but not limited to employment discrimination, wage and hour matters, wrongful termination, labor relations, and workplace policies.
  • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation in employment-related disputes.
  • Develop and implement effective workplace policies and training programs for clients to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Advise clients on best practices for employee relations, risk management, and compliance matters.
  • Lead and mentor junior attorneys and support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
  • Stay updated on legal developments, trends, and best practices in labor and employment law to provide clients with proactive and informed advice.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including networking events, presentations, and writing articles on relevant topics.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in Alabama.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience practicing labor and employment law, with a proven track record in both litigation and advisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and provide practical, client-focused solutions.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in mentoring attorneys and staff.
  • A strong business acumen and a commitment to the growth of the firm.
  • Sizeable/ Portable Book of Business.
