Bookstore Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and book-loving individual to join our team as a Bookseller at Barnes & Noble. As a Bookseller, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers, engaging with them, and sharing your knowledge of books to make relevant recommendations.

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of books, authors, and genres to provide exceptional customer service and make personalized recommendations.
• Ensure a visually appealing and well-organized bookstore by executing bookstore basics, including presentation, commerciality, section detail, localization, and sense of theater.
• Leverage key campaigns, such as Our Monthly Picks and pre-orders, to hand sell and engage with customers.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to provide customers with a great experience when they visit and shop.
• Collaborate with the store team to tailor the merchandise selection to reflect the community's interests and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and tidy store environment, creating displays and ensuring the bookstore is always shoppable and inviting.
• Support events and community outreach initiatives.
• Adhere to company processes to protect assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
