Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment programs, taking into account the patient's developmental and/or chronological age and medical diagnoses.
Provide patient care based on physician referrals, using age-appropriate assessments and treatment plans.
Coordinate patient care and clinical activities through written and/or verbal communication with patients, families, therapists, Clinical Team Leaders, managers, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
Document patient information in medical records and complete other patient care-related forms in compliance with regulatory agencies and department/hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy.
Bachelor's degree as a Physical Therapist and 5 years of experience, or Master's or Doctorate degree required.
Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy.
Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills required. BLS-certified within six months of employment.
