Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Mount Carmel Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate provision of medications to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in filling orders and prescriptions
  • Prepare intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapy, using aseptic technique in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Conduct maintenance on automated dispensing cabinets and resolve issues/errors
  • Assist in inventory control by verifying and putting away orders, ensuring proper stock rotation, and reviewing stock for proper storage and current expiration dates
  • Prepare sterile products and properly label medications, maintaining records as required by department policy and procedures and state and federal law
  • Assist with billing patients and other units
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Active registration as a Certified Tech with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience is desirable
  • Effective communication skills
  • Aptitude in mathematical manipulations (ratios, proportions, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions)
