Molding Department Supervisor

The Melting Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the molding department. This includes overseeing the daily goals and expectations related to safety, quality, and throughput. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to motivate and coach employees to achieve departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure employee safety and support all related safety programs
• Oversee skilled trades personnel and equipment reliability
• Complete work orders and PMs
• Support and drive Continuous Improvement systems such as Lean and Five-S
• Maintain product quality and use OPC/SPC to establish repeatable systems and reduce defects
• Organize and schedule work to minimize production interruptions and meet department production objectives
• Supervise work and apply company policies and practices
Evaluation Criteria:
The successful candidate will be evaluated on adaptability, coaching, motivational fit, planning and organizing/work management, gaining commitment, initiative, contributing to team success, quality/attention to detail, communications (oral & written), safety awareness, technical strength and experience, and potential for future advancement.
