Key Responsibilities
Project Involvement:
- Work alongside project managers and colleagues to design and execute solid waste management initiatives.
- Support project planning, design, and implementation to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
- Utilize MS Office 365 and design software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS effectively.
Data Management:
- Gather, organize, and evaluate data pertinent to solid waste projects, aiding in the formulation of technical reports and recommendations.
- Estimate material, equipment, and labor costs to assess project budgets and viability.
Field Engagement:
- Engage in site assessments and fieldwork, performing inspections and collecting data to support project goals.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers and managers to enhance technical expertise in solid waste management and environmental compliance.
Regulatory Adherence:
- Remain informed about federal, state, and local solid waste regulations, ensuring project compliance with environmental standards.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports and specifications, with a focus on precision and detail.
- Work with clients to understand their requirements, respond to inquiries, and foster client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Five to ten years of relevant industry experience.
- Professional Engineer license (NJ, NY, and/or PA) or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity.
- Strong interest in solid waste management and environmental engineering.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a readiness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- A commitment to promoting environmentally sustainable practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active involvement in professional organizations related to solid waste and/or environmental fields.
