Northern Light Health is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Ellsworth, Maine. As a key member of our Primary Care team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical histories, accurately taking and recording vital signs, and recognizing and responding to emergencies.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explaining treatments and procedures in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens, perform EKGs as ordered, and manage all Electronic Administrative Records (EAR) tasks and provider orders within your scope of certification.
  • Maintain accurate medication and immunization records, documenting changes in patient condition as needed.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, providing verbal and written information to patients and families as needed.

Requirements:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.

Working Conditions:
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
