About the RoleThis is an ongoing per diem position with up to 40 hours of work per week, offering flexibility and autonomy in your scheduling. You will be responsible for facilitating transfers, transporting patients, and providing accurate reporting in a timely manner.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the transfer center and community outreach teams
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals across various age groups and developmental levels
- Plan and execute transfer logistics, including bed assignments, ER outbound calls, data entry, faxing, and discharge follow-up
- Graduate of an EMT-P training course approved under Arizona 9 A.A.C. 25, Articles 2, 4, and 5
- ADHS Paramedic Certification or Arizona State Certified, BLS and ACLS; PALS certification within 9 months of hire
- Knowledge of growth and development principles, patient assessment, and age-specific care requirements
- Associate Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in pre-hospital/emergency medical service
- Previous experience in an Emergency Room setting
- National Licensure by the NREMT Board, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic and Advanced Trauma Life Support certifications
$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
