About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at MotorCity Casino Hotel. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all facilities, property, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Identify and diagnose deficiencies in HVAC systems, alarm systems, and generators, and implement corrective measures.
  • Perform mid-level to advanced level painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects related to maintenance of property.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, alarm systems, and generators.
  • Completion of one thousand forty hours of paid time as a Maintenance Trainee-Level IV, followed by two years of paid work time as an Engineer-Level I; or
  • Completion of three to five years of trade experience and possession of a trade-related license and/or certification acceptable to the Employer; or
  • Three to five years of experience in building maintenance in the hospitality or service industry, in addition to one of the following: three to five years of experience in commercial K & R, CFC Type II or better qualification, or HVAC 3rd Class Refrigeration license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Michigan driver's license.
