Head Cook

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cook to lead our culinary team at Girl Scouts of Western New York Inc's residential camp.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Head Cook. As a key member of our camp staff, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals to our campers and staff.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a full working kitchen, with a strong background in quality and quantity cooking, food managing, and maintaining food inventory within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing menus that meet the dietary needs of our campers and staff
• Leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
• Collaborating with the Camp Director and other senior staff to plan and deliver meals that align with our organizational goals

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a full working kitchen
• Excellent culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Ability to work well under pressure, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
