Key Responsibilities
The Radiologic Technologist is expected to:
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Maintain precision in radiologic positioning and exposure techniques.
- Adhere to safety protocols regarding radiation protection.
- Assist physicians in performing complex radiologic examinations and administer contrast media in compliance with regulations.
- Serve as the primary communication link between patients and medical staff, ensuring sensitivity to patients' physical and emotional needs.
- Uphold confidentiality of patient information and foster positive relationships within the healthcare team.
- Engage in continuous education to enhance professional skills and patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification or eligibility required.
- Must obtain ARRT certification within six months of hire.
- Preferred: One year of post-graduate experience.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
