Job Summary

Lane Enterprises Inc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their team. As a key member of the manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing preventative and reactive maintenance duties required for the plant's industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of up to 480v 3 phase electrical systems, ensuring optimal equipment uptime and safety.
  • Direct and perform preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize production rates.
  • Install all wiring and run conduit, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Create work orders and manage spare parts inventory to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Develop and maintain an inspection program for all motors and electrical equipment, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Test existing equipment and determine if components of a system need to be upgraded or replaced, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Repair lift trucks (LPG and Diesel) and other equipment to maintain maximum production rates.
  • Overhaul process systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment.
  • Maintain facility housekeeping, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • Basic industrial, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic skills, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, including interpretation and reading of technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to interpret and read electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
  • Basic welding skills and ability to install 3 phase motors and control circuits.
  • Ability to rebuild a gear box and understand inputs and outputs on PLC circuits.
  • Familiarity with chillers, cooling towers, and pump skids, as well as experience with Natural Gas Burner.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • High School, Vocational or Technical school Diploma, GED or equivalent education preferred.
  • Diesel Mechanic or Electrical certification a plus.
  • Minimum of ten years Maintenance/Electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC systems.

Physical Requirements

  • The incumbent must possess the strength and stamina to perform medium to heavy physical work, and may occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, and extreme noise when working in the field.
  • Ability to work at varied heights and possess the ability to climb ladders.
  • Be able to operate varied hand and power tools and related equipment; vision to read printed materials; color vision to identify electrical wires and pipes; finger dexterity to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work and inspect work sites; ability to lift, move, and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.
