Tygart Technology, Inc. is currently in search of a Senior System Administrator to provide support for a Department of Justice (DOJ) component. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and dependable operation of computer systems.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, resources, and security of managed systems align with user requirements.
  • Take charge of the operations and maintenance of the legacy NCIC mainframe (IBM z14) infrastructure, including compute and storage platforms.
  • Handle installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of the zOS operating system, CICS, DB2 Relational Database Management System, and various IBM products and utilities.
  • Conduct system monitoring and generate reports.
  • Engage in performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization.
  • Implement Pervasive Encryption strategies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree coupled with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of an active Secret Security clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience with IBM z14 and CICS is essential.
  • Familiarity with zOS operating system, DB2 Relational Database Management System, and IBM products and utilities is preferred.
  • Experience with CA/Broadcom tools and BMC Product Suite is advantageous.
