ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will:
- Supervise the daily functions of sterile processing staff to ensure compliance with local policies and regulatory standards.
- Manage the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization processes of surgical instruments in accordance with AAMI standards.
- Ensure the preparation of case carts aligns with local inventory protocols.
- Assess and document findings from quality assurance programs, guiding the team towards improved audit results and productivity metrics.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of staff members.
Required Licensure / Certification:
- Candidates must possess one of the following credentials within 12 months of hire:
- Central Service Technician certification in Sterile Processing from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
- Central Service Technician certification in Sterile Processing from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of relevant cumulative experience.
