MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join their team in Birmingham, Alabama.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization and EP team, assisting with patient care in the electrophysiology lab. This includes using imaging equipment to help detect and treat heart and blood vessel issues, executing noninvasive procedures, and reviewing patient history and medical orders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Labs
- Evaluate images to ensure quality and accuracy
- Communicate results to physicians
- Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accepted practice guidelines
Requirements:
- Current License in good standing
- Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
- Eighteen months of EP Lab experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting
