Job Overview

Momentum Resource Solutions seeks a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement WAN, MAN, LAN, WLAN, Proxy, Load Balancing, Firewall, and Proxy components.
  • Help drive network improvements and standardization for data centers, campuses, and remote branch offices.
  • Perform tasks including planning, staging hardware and software, implementation, post-cutover support, documentation, and end-user training.
  • Test, debug, conduct performance analysis, and document network infrastructure components.
  • Manage capacity of network infrastructure.
  • Assist in implementing test plans related to network infrastructure.
  • Ensure network plans integrate with other technical infrastructure aspects.
  • Develop and configure network infrastructure from conceptualization through stabilization.
  • Implement network infrastructure by customizing products, developing implementation and verification procedures.
  • Provide production support for incidents/problems escalated from the Network Operations team.
  • Deliver network infrastructure on time and within budget for new projects.
  • Create and maintain written documentation and diagrams for supported systems.
  • Participate in a 24/7/365 weekly on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting computer networks in a mission-critical environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with real-time market data and trading.
  • Certification and/or training with vendor-neutral or vendor-specific focus.
  • Basic understanding of operating system administration (Windows and Linux).
  • Scripting and automation skills.
  • Organized and methodical testing skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Technical Environment:

  • OS: Linux & Windows.
  • Hardware: Cisco ACI, Cisco routers and switches, Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls, web proxies, F5 LTM/GTM, Network monitoring probes (Gigamon, Extrahop).
  • Applications: Cisco ISE, BlueCAT DDI, SSL/PKI​

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
