Job Summary

The Adolescent Outpatient Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administrative, clinical, and service functions of assigned clinical staff. Essential Responsibilities and Metrics:Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Evaluate Clinical Staff: Ensure staff compliance with productivity requirements, assessments, and notes.
  • Supervise Interns and Train Staff: Work with other supervisors to train and orientate students to Josselyn procedures and policies.
  • Monitor and Approve Staff Schedules: Ensure the needs of the Center are covered.
  • Crisis Management: Be available to handle crisis requests for clinical and front office staff.
  • Intake Coordination: Coordinate intake functions when the Intake Coordinator is unavailable.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other supervisors.
  • Community Relations: Foster relationships with community resources and participate in community-related activities.
  • Performance Improvement: Participate cooperatively in performance improvement activities, committee work, and mandatory in-services.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Represent the Center with integrity, abide by the ethical statement of the Center, and protect confidentiality.
  • Productivity and Caseload: Maintain 30% direct service productivity and a caseload of 10-15 clients after a 4-month onboarding period.
  • Proficiency and Knowledge: Demonstrate proficiency with confidentiality, client rights, safety, and infection control, incident and sentinel event reporting, and personnel policies.
Organizational Responsibilities:
  • Staff Onboarding: Help onboard staff and interns.
  • CIS Training: Train staff on CIS functionality and be a resource when issues arise.
  • Community Services: Participate in community-related services as appropriate.
  • Agency Representation: Represent the agency with integrity and professionalism.
  • Employee Development: Responsible for managing clinical staff schedule, payroll, performance management, and employee development goals.
Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Licensed for independent clinical practice in the State of Illinois in mental health or a related field.
  • Collaboration and Supervision: Demonstrate competence in interdisciplinary and inter-agency collaboration.
  • Experience and Skills: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive and successful clinical supervision experience, preferably in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Administrative and Organizational Skills: Demonstrated administrative, supervisory, and organizational skills.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Advanced oral and written communication skills, with the ability to think critically and analytically and to problem solve in both short and long-term contexts.
  • Best Practices: Working knowledge of best practices in clinical counseling in the field of mental health.
