About the Role

Ameresco, Inc. is seeking a skilled Building Automation Specialist to join our team in Florida. As a key member of our Smart Building Solutions team, you will work on new construction and retrofit projects in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Functions: Perform a variety of technical tasks, including programming, integration, system startup, service, commissioning, owner training, and project record documents.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ensure client expectations are met and take a lead role in developing client relationships.
  • Project Coordination: Establish and maintain open communication with clients and project managers to keep all essential project activities running smoothly.
  • Process Improvement: Assist with the development and improvement of related processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Safety and Compliance: Reinforce safe work practices and ensure all safety requirements are adhered to, in accordance with the safety program of the Company.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with HVAC systems in commercial building applications.
  • Technical Skills: Previous work experience with building automation systems. Specific experience with systems manufactured by Automated Logic, Alerton, Delta, Distech, Reliable, Computrol, JCI, Siemens, Trane, and/or Tridium are preferred.
Additional Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Basic Technological Proficiency: Basic technological proficiency and familiarity with iPad operation.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electricity and electrical circuits.
  • Technical Skills: Previous experience with troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and programming building controls systems.
  • Physical Demands: Valid driver's license in good standing and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Bacnet, LON, or Modbus.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
