Job Summary

The Substance Use Disorder Specialist plays a key role in the Substance Use Disorder Bridge Clinic at Salem Hospital, Inc. This position is responsible for working with a multi-disciplinary team to assist patients in finding community resources related to ongoing SUD treatment, mental health services, and other community resources related to social determinants of health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify resources to meet the needs of individual patients and communicate the results to the care team and patients when indicated.
  • Work with the care team to assist patients in finding community resources and provide support to all members of the care team.
  • Provide strong communication skills and the ability to converse comfortably with patients and their caregivers, practice and program staff, and community agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Master's preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the Substance Use Disorder field required.
