Job Summary

The Culinary Team Member is responsible for assisting in all areas of planning and preparing meals for residents within each individual's certain dietary needs. Meals should be prepared with residents' preferences in mind.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in planning and preparing all meals in conjunction with the kitchen supervisor and/or manager while following all the specific dietary needs of the current population at White Birch.
  • Meals are an important part of an elderly person's day, not only for nutrition, but for quality of life. They shall be prepared while keeping these points in mind.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, ensuring compliance with all health and safety inspections.
  • Cooking, cleaning, and dishwashing are essential tasks for all kitchen positions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous cooking experience and the ability to follow a recipe are required.
  • Applicants must be willing to work every other weekend and some holidays.
