Job Summary:

At Saint Vincent Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Medical Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing timely and efficient performance of selected Physical Rehabilitation duties under the general supervision of a PT, PTA, OT, or COTA. Your key responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining equipment for patient use, managing equipment inventory, transporting patients to and from the department, assisting therapists and assistants with patient care, maintaining linen supplies, maintaining inventory of supplies, ensuring appropriate equipment performance prior to use, and performing cleaning of the area and equipment as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.

Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain equipment for patient use
Manage equipment inventory
Transport patients to and from the department
Assist therapists and assistants with patient care
Maintain linen supplies
Maintain inventory of supplies
Ensure appropriate equipment performance prior to use
Perform cleaning of the area and equipment as outlined in the policy and procedure manual

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
