Job Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and superior customer service to all residents in your unit.
You will assist the nursing leadership team in planning, developing, and overseeing the operations of the facility, ensuring that all residents receive quality care around the clock.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing residents' conditions to implement interventions and develop care plans.
- Accurately documenting observations for residents in Point Click Care (PCC) to ensure adherence to care plans.
- Ensuring compliance with facility medical records, policies, and procedures.
- Conducting regular rounds on residents, both independently and with physicians, to observe and evaluate symptoms, progress, and responses to treatments, implementing interventions and medications as necessary.
- Providing preventative, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care tailored to the physiological and psychosocial needs of residents.
- Administering a variety of treatments, including dressing changes, wound care, foley catheter irrigations, IV therapy, and tube feedings.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position includes general supervision of CNAs/STNAs, which encompasses retraining, counseling sessions, and the implementation of disciplinary actions as required.
Requirements:
- Must possess a current state license as a Registered Nurse.
- CPR certification is required.
- One year of professional nursing experience in a long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of applicable state nursing regulations is advantageous.
Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with current federal and state laws and regulations relevant to nursing practice in a long-term care environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
