Job Description

Leidos is seeking a skilled Signal Processing Engineer to join our team in support of U.S. Government and commercial contracts for software design, development, testing, integration, documentation, and maintenance. The work is based in St. Petersburg, FL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate system requirements into software requirements and perform software design
  • Implement software applications and features in an agile environment
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance signal processing software (e.g. detectors, demodulators, protocol processors)
  • Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results
  • Resolve software problem reports and utilize software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
Requirements
  • BS degree in CS, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 or less years of prior relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of software development experience through all phases of Software Engineering including requirements, design, code, test, and integration
  • 2 to 4 years of experience with C/C++ and Python
  • 2 to 4 years of Linux experience
  • Real-time software development experience
  • Hardware-software integration (system integration)
  • RF knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum
  • Software-defined radio & FPGA architectures
  • Commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques
  • Software configuration management/automation tools (Git, Bitbucket, or Artifactory)
  • Python and C/C++, Eclipse IDE
  • Xilinx and/or Altera
  • Service-oriented architecture and Linux OS
  • Model-based design (e.g. MATLAB, SIMULINK, LabView)

Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $117,500.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
