Recreation Therapist Assistant

Assists in providing a continuum of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcome-based leisure activities designed to meet the physical, cultural, spiritual, social, cognitive/intellectual, emotional, and creative needs and interests of assigned residents.

• Assists in developing and implementing leisure activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being
• Provides support to residents in participating in leisure activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities
• Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment for leisure activities
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure resident-centered care
• Documents resident participation and progress in leisure activities

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare or recreation setting preferred
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
• American Heart Association CPR certification required
