Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Utility Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the City of Corinth. As a key member of our water and wastewater operations team, you will be responsible for leading a crew in the repair and maintenance of our facilities and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a crew in various maintenance and repair projects, prioritizing tasks and coordinating equipment and personnel needs.
  • Review work orders and job requests, determining the necessary equipment, materials, and personnel required for each task.
  • Train and evaluate staff, developing their skills and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Maintain records and logs of work crew activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain specialized vehicles, tools, and equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Respond to emergency callouts, dispatching and accounting for crew activity during emergency events.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with four years of experience in water utilities maintenance work, preferably with the City of Corinth.
  • Valid Class A or B Texas Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement, and a minimum of Class C Water or Wastewater Collections 2 Operator licenses from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
  • Knowledge of City policies and procedures, federal, state, and City safety rules and regulations, and principles and methods of maintenance of water and wastewater stations and components.
Working Conditions

This position requires moderate physical work, with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds. Work is performed indoors and outdoors at various work sites throughout the City.
