Development Director at St. Louis Children's Hospital

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Director to join our team at St. Louis Children's Hospital. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for leading our efforts to secure major gifts and planned giving from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
About the RoleThe Development Director will work closely with our leadership team to establish goals, objectives, and strategies for our fundraising efforts. You will develop and implement comprehensive fundraising programs, including capital and endowment campaigns, annual fund, and major gift efforts. You will also supervise a team of development professionals and manage individual contributors to ensure that our fundraising goals are met.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with foundation leaders to establish goals, objectives, and strategies for the fundraising efforts of the Foundation.
- Develop plans and strategies, and direct comprehensive fundraising programs, including capital and endowment campaigns, annual fund, and major gift efforts.
- Supervise the development and integration of planned gift, major gift, special gift, and annual fund solicitation strategies.
- Assess the fundraising potential of the Foundation through giving history, hospital departments, and programs, and make solicitation assignments.
- Institute metrics for measuring progress toward goals and for ensuring accountability.
- Manage individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in fundraising and development, with a proven track record of securing major gifts.
- Supervisor experience, with a strong ability to lead and manage a team.
