Description:


The Chief Financial Operations Officer will play a pivotal role in driving strategic financial decisions and ensuring the continuous improvement of business performance and profitability at Permian Basin Materials LLC.


Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year


Job Description:


This senior accounting position requires an exceptional leader who can oversee daily operations, including accountants, accounts payable, and receivable departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Supervise the accounting department and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory laws.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data.
  • Assist the CFO and VP of Finance with annual budget and rolling forecasts, report on budget vs actual, and perform variance analysis.
  • Manage external auditors and ensure proper accounting of acquisitions, including opening balance sheet and working capital true up.
  • Collaborate with district managers to develop strong communication regarding financial reporting.
  • Build a working relationship with plant and district managers to develop strong communication in regard to their financial reporting.


Requirements:


The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and a minimum of five to seven years of experience in senior accounting/finance roles. They should have expertise in financial drivers, US GAAP accounting, external auditor management, and financial performance communication. A valid driver's license and comfort with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment are also essential.
