Job Summary:

Solvenow Inc. is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineer 2 to join our team. As an HVAC Engineer 2, you will be responsible for designing and implementing industrial and chemical plant HVAC systems, as well as related office facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop and implement HVAC design solutions for industrial and chemical plants, and related office facilities.
  • Load Calculations and Code Compliance: Conduct heating and cooling load calculations, and ensure compliance with recent applicable codes and standards, including Mechanical, Fire, ASHRAE, and NFPA.
  • System Engineering: Design and engineer dust and fume collection systems, plumbing system layouts, and fire protection design specifications.
  • Project Management: Oversee the production of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings, and interface with other engineering disciplines and clients.
  • Field Work: Perform field work, including obtaining information, making field sketches, and verifying drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, PE desirable. Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience, with at least 2 years of industrial HVAC experience.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical and fire codes, and NFPA and ASHRAE standards. Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, or Revit a plus.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Background Investigation: Authorizes a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
  • Drug Test: Submits to a drug test post offer.
  • Driver's License: Possesses a valid driver's license.
  • Travel: Accepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travel.
